i’ve been working hard to finish my suit in time to attend the next appearance request for our local badlands garrison, which was a visit to canuck place hospice to surprise some of the kids there. i was thrilled to be able to join a few of the others a couple of weeks ago, in what turned out to be a very meaningful first troop. here’s some pics from our visit (resident’s faces blurred for privacy reasons).

most of the kids seemed happy to see us, but i think it was the staff that was even more excited we were there! one of the nurses transformed into leia on the spot, complete with hair in buns and two white sheets from a nearby linen closet!
