today boo’s relative auntie lena brought her olympic torch to school to show all the kids! everybody was so excited and had lots of questions for lena, who ran the torch at UBC last week. before leaving, boo presented her with a gift from the class, and then we got our moment with the torch too.
it was the first chance i’ve had to be up close and personal with one of these torches, and i was very impressed with the beautiful design and can now understand how those we know who got the chance to run with it say it was such an emotional and meaningful event…
