we checked out malaysian hut the other day, after a recommendation by a fellow bruneian. it was kinda in the middle of nowhere in surrey, and the first time we drove right by it. but after we settled into the little mom and pop place, we were pleasantly surprised by the dishes that we ordered. in fact, i think this is the best kuching laksa i’ve ever had that wasn’t made by my mom, sister or angie. (it’s that secret paste that you can’t get here and that no one knows what’s inside!)
