this weekend we checked out the summer night market in richmond with gary, ivy and brodie. apparently this one, located in the same spot behind home depot, is under new management that is being sued by the previous organizer of the richmond night market. but whatever, looks the same on the outside, and we found the usual booths and good eats.

new this year were japanese hotdogs (different name than the downtown one, but same idea), and one very cool mah jong table vendor: center pad rises, drop mj pieces in, pad closes, and a few seconds later perfectly pre-built walls rise to the table surface and boom, you’re ready for round 2. very svelt. cost? $1500.

although i wanted one just to show off at home, i settled for the korean socks which were 4 for $10, and a ling mung ai yu (mmm).
