obama’s inauguration day.

today we watched obama’s inauguration on tv with our friend min cha (who’s from the DC area). i wore my ‘president obama’ t-shirt (a gift from joey & sho, thanks guys!). it was quite a ceremony, and i was so impressed by everybody who went up to the podium to speak. i was especially moved by rick warren’s prayer before the speech; it was brilliant that he incorporated the Lord’s Prayer, which just seemed to come alive with every line. timeless God. i didn’t quite get the poem though?! did you watch the events? what did you think, and how did you feel?

    Hey Kimu,
I took my class to an incredible inauguration event in Harlem.

The man in the segment who talks about sitting there with his son is the dad of one of my students. The little boy next to him is in my class and the kids around him are all my third grade students. I was sitting at the next table! Pretty cool, huh?
