today is macworld day, and the rumors of a new sub-notebook from apple prove to be true: steve jobs announces macbook air, weighing just 3lbs, 1.6/1.8GHz, 2GBs memory, 80GB hard drive and wireless n, with a 13.3″ LED display. price will be $1,799. suwheet.

    The only thing that sucks is that it doesn't have the DVD player/burner built into the computer (of course, because it's so thin). Though it may not be used a lot, I used own a laptop where the DVD player had to be plugged in -- and it sucks in terms of the space it uses up, and the fact that it uses up one of only two precious USB ports.

    But I can't believe how thin it is!! I'm going to have buy a new Mac when my screen finally goes (it's showing its age now)... and it's still quite tempting, I have to admit.

    ahhh yes, thas ma boy, adam. sleep well, and dream of mac pro 8 core...

    time to upgrade!
