friday night was the hall & oates concert and it was great!  not only did all the hit songs from over the years still sound good vocally, the band was tight and arrangements were just groovin.  they even sold live recordings of that night’s concert right afterwards on cd.

and as usual at concerts, i pay close attention to what and how the drummer is playing, hoping to pick up style ideas and new riffs.  at one point, the drummer was having such a blast that i think his glasses must have flown off his head, cuz a stage hand had to rush out and retrieve it from under a riser and put it back on his head while the song continued!

ah, live music. there’s nothing like it, i tell ya. a special thanks to julia eemo for boo-sitting so i could enjoy the night.
