the best duran song of all time is…

so i was over at my parents’ house the other day and guess what i found? thas right… my old duran duran record. you kids know what that is? it’s a record. LP, you know? album? yes that’s right, there used to be a time when you had to carefully place some vinyl on a “turntable” to hear your music.

ok anyway, getting side-tracked here. so i started thinking what’s the number one duran song of all time? let’s hear from you. pick one. only one. it’s going to be hard, i tell ya. just look at the poll choices to start… and feel free to comment after on why you chose to vote for your song.

btw, does anyone really know what ‘the reflex’ is? or what about ‘the union of the snake’?

well, the union of the snake was a smallish cult where everyone wore acid wash jeans and really big, teased hair. the cooler you were the bigger the hair. members-only jackets were a must as well...

sweet, i think i had that album on 8track and the music video on beta...

sweet, i knew somebody was gonna add 'girls on film'!

thanks billy, for the insight. i had a dark blue MO jacket, so i was cool alright.

whatever 8track. were you even born yet?

    keep up the voting kids...

Well, I picked HLAW, cause really, it's a great song, but I actually really like the one from The Saint soundtrack... what's that called again... it's awesome.

DEPECHE MODE RULES!!! (just so you don't forget)

Dude, "The Reflex" was the one that would really get us all dancing. What a cool video too!

    fritz is right.

i've been holding off, but i had to give in.

reflex got my vote, too, even though the boys didn't sing it in vancouver. still bitter about that.

uh oh, looks like I'm the only one who took a look at the list and thought "huh?". I think I've heard three of these songs but that's about it. I need to get myself ed-u-ma-cated.

This was a tough one for me. I had to pull out my Duran Duran "Decade" album and listen to ALL of them before I decided. It was a toss up between Union of the Snake and The Reflex for me, with Is There Something I Should Know? coming up close behind.

Did I ever tell you that I made a "Seven and the Ragged Tiger" apron and a "Seven and the Ragged Tiger" kleenex box holder in home economics?. Whatever happened to those things.... Mom? That was one cool apron, let me tell you...
